So what's the lineup and formation for this game.

Pressure is starting to mount for points. A point is the minimum we want but our first away win would be nice especially considering we have some matches against top prem teams this month.

Kasper

Simpson
Morgan
Huth
Chilwell

Gray
Ndidi
Drinkwater
Mendy
Albrighton

Musa

in a 4:5:1 transforming into a 4:3:3 at times with the possibility of 4:4:2 diamond with Gray joining Musa up front.

but I can't see Vardy getting dropped to the bench so he can replace Musa in the same setup.

I pretty much agree.

I don't think Fuchs will start as I think he's needs bench time. So Chilwell it is. I actually think Morgan is due a rest but I can't see that happening. I can't see Vardy being dropped either but I reckon we will play one up front. Vardy's got to perform though, he'll have to run himself into the ground as of old.

I will be absolutely astonished if we go there and be anything other than negative and ineffective. Can't see us trying to play in their half at all. Can't see Grey being given any freedom or support to make stuff happen.

I do think we'll set up defensively and not to lose, I nearly added that to my original post. We'll look to long balls/balls over the top/down the channel/whatever to get Vardy in. That's why I see us playing one up with Vardy having to earn his wages.

We can't play with a brand new formation every single game

There lies complete and utter lunacy

Perhaps we should stick to the tried and tested - it's failed twice as many times as it's worked this season.

We need more people in midfield when playing away from home and use our ability to strike quickly imo.

so stick with what we've been doing so badly

Perhaps they'll have done their research on us this season. We could use this to our advantage by trying not to lose a game, catch the ****ers out lads!

As with over 70% of our league games so far, it's highly likely to be first goal wins.

With that in mind, an approach which attempts to get the first goal is preferable to one where we try to avoid conceding it.

I'd go with the same team as FIF.

CR will probably go for Musa in Gray's role with Vardy up front and defend as a 4-2-3-1. It would probably be better if Albrighton played on the right as Bertrand and Redmond can cause a lot of problems down that side. Though I value Okazaki's contribution, but with Fonte gone and his replacement likely to be Yoshida, I think the pacy strikers would pose more of a threat to their defence, hence Musa should get the nod.

Musa is best down the middle.

I want to see a brave in your face performance from us. I don't think we will. I predict us to be cautious and negative. I predict a 2-0 loss.

I would like to see:

Schmeichel

Chilwell
Huth
Morgan
Simpson

Albrighton
Drinkwater
Ndidi
Gray

Vardy
Okazaki

Odd innit? I agree. That's not the odd bit. The odd bit is that I'm sure I've read that he prefers/or is preferred on the wing.

But having watched him play in both positions, I think he looks more of a threat playing centrally than out wide.

I'd too would like to see Okazaki play. There's something about his play that makes us more joined up.

He frustrates the hell out of me sometimes (falling over, the anguished face as he once again fluffs a chance) but he brings something to the team beyond his own talents. Yet, on talent, you've see some of his finishes - and I'm not talking about bundling the ball over the line - and you think, jeez, this guy IS talented... and then he'll go and make a pig's arse of an easier chance. Go figure, as they say.

In short, we look more of a team with Okazaki in the lineup. It's simply his willingness, and the fact he can carry the ball from defence to attack. Maybe there'll be more of a role for him once we have a more established and functioning central midfield.
