I'd also be concerned as to how those adverts are delivered to you.

They'v signed deals with EMI & UMG which won't have come cheap I'd imagine

Some websites use the IP address to determine which country you're in, although I'm sure people can get round that by using a proxy server.

even using IP addresses isn't an exact science for determining somebody's location, as you say proxy servers can be used.
It also helps if you work for a US based ISP! depending on how I connect to a site I can appear be in Ireland, Germany, France or the States.
