Blackburn may not be pretty - but they are pretty effective (sorry). Leicester's ambitious new manager is moving the club forward rapidly and I would expect that Leicester will reappear in the Premiership either next season or the one after - but whether they really need this cup run is a moot point. Balancing revenues and resting players for the play-off push is a tricky one. Blackburn are safe enough in the Premiership and will have the fight to get into the semi-finals, but it may well be very tight.

Blackburn v Leicester (13.05 Sunday, BBC1)

“Considering that Leicester beat Charlton in the last round, some punters may fancy an upset here. But Blackburn are in good form and with Leicester old boy Dickov likely to return, and Matteo back from injury, they should have too much quality for the Foxes. We’ve predicted a victory for the home side by 0.9 to 1.1 goals, but if I was having a punt I’d be tempted to bet ‘high’, particularly with Pedersen having a purple patch.
