Staying in Liverpool

Just wondering if any of you rowdy lot have stayed in Liverpool recently and can recommend a hotel.
I'm going with my girlfriend on Novermber 3rd (and maybe staying on the 4th as well).
I'm on a bit of a budget and am struggling to find anything suitable so if any of you could help then that'd be great. Websites, hotel recommendation, etc, all welcome.

I know I went to Uni there Steven, but I've not been back for ages. The one place I usually stay is fully booked (international inn apartments) so I'm looking for alternatives. Travelodge is fully booked too.

If Liverpool are at home on that Saturday,you'll have great difficulty finding anywhere reasonable.All the reasonable places get booked up earlydoors
