Tickets £15 for non season ticket holders, £10 for season ticket holders, £5 for old gits/brats.

Tickets only available in the West stand.

I was thinking of going to this, as it will be cheaper for me to get to than a Saturday match, but £15 is taking the piss when it's likely to be a reserve team.

For anyone who remembers Shilton, Birchenall and Weller the last five years has been like a reserve team.

I don't, but I would argue even the likes of Thompson, Speedie, Whitlow, Walsh, Joachim, Gee, Wright, Roooooosssttteeerrrr would make that lot look like a shambles.

How old a git do you have to be? Assume that brats up to 16 are £5

I think it was 6298 against Macclesfield in August 2006 just beating 6751 against Preston in October 2004

Against Crewe in September 2003 the attendance was 27675 for a League Cup Tie which is unbelievable when you think of what we might get against Stockport

That Macclesfield game was a fiver for ST holders, think it might have been a tenner for others. It was like a reserve match, everyone was in one stand.

even if it was free to st holders i still wouldnt be going but charging that amount is insulting

what a frigging rip-off!!!

It would be interesting to know the thinking behind the setting of this price-tag. It is not the sole responsibility of LCFC; in the League Cup both clubs have to agree the price if it is to be less than the amount normally charged for league games.

With a sub-4,000 gate a distinct possibility, I wonder if it was thought that a £5 season ticket holder/£10 other price might not even produce sufficient receipts to cover the cost of putting the game on. That would have left City in the position of having to ask Stockport to contribute towards the costs.

but they would surely get more fans turning up if they offered the cheap prices you mentioned than the ones that theyre advertised at :102:

How many fans turn up is not the only consideration that has to be made. The total amount of cash received from the fans is more important and if you are not likely to get twice as many fans, you don't halve the price.

They only got 6k at those cheaper prices and that is when we were a Championship club. There must have been some very interesting consideration over how the law of diminishing returns might be applied in this case.
