Too many people have got distracted by events on the pitch and failed to notice that the dugout has a new star and what an asset.

Craig Shakespeare is a pointer directing events from the technical area. Mike Stowell is a berater jumping up and down with fury. Mike Appleton is a growler - a cross between Mr Tony Pulis and Stone Cold Steve Austin - shame on those who have never heard of Mr Austin.

In the Chelsea match Antonio Conte seemed to be calling for help from the civilised gods of the Mediterranean - waving his arms to appeal to Zeus or Cybele. These are not for Mr Appleton; for him it is surely some snarling wolf god. He was hunched over with a look of hatred. I could not hear what he was saying but he seemed to be communing with northern gods of storm and thunder.

I hope one day he will do a press conference. He is no Nigel Pearson. No journalist would be called an ostrich - three to many letters.

I like Craig Shakespeare. He seems to be a man I would enjoy having a convivial pint with. Stone Cold Mike Appleby is more a man for a Viking Great Hall drinking mead and demanding vengeance. Welcome to Leicester Mr Appleton.

Think I'd rather have an experienced man next to our inexperienced manager.

Had to google him. I'm not shamed at all.

Absolutely none of your posts & posting styles line up in terms of your age. I am totally baffled and am starting to assume you're Marty McFly popping in and out of this year at different stages of your life.

Where are you on the razorblade of life DG??

I'm as confused as you FF. There was an earlier post on another thread about him seeing Wes Morgan being brought on the pitch in 40 years time.
Perhaps David has a picture of himself in the loft.

Glad you posted this, as I was starting to think I was going a bit crazy

How startling to find my posts subjected to textual analysis. My literary hero is Edward Gibbon;an 18th century historian who wrote about "The Decline and Fall Of The Roman Empire". I see this forum generally as chronicling The Decline and Rise Of Leicester City."

As for my age. I am at that age when young men are polite as I am the generation before the one they are rebelling against. Even better young women are kind. They should remember Lady Bracknell's comment that "Old age is no guarantee of respectability."

I cannot see life as a razorblade. It does have painful moments; usually connected to other peoples health, However, life is generally an amusing mixture of family, friends and chocolate éclairs.

I love you David.

Appleton looks a bit cool in the MOTD2 Extra studio at the moment chatting with the usual crew on that show.
BBC must have done a "buy one get one free" with City I reckon with Craig doing his bit yesterday on Footy Focus
