I'm disappointed!

Fri 10 Aug-Sun 12 Aug
5 Stages, 4 Bars, 3 Days Of Music

Announced so far:

Headliners - Magic Numbers

Second on Bill - Echo And The Bunneymen and The Pipettes

Also appearing - Rumblestripes, Duke Special, Gruff Rhys, Kitty Daisy And Lewis, Tiny Dancers (hey up, melton), The Whip, Cud, Broken Family Band, Findlay Brown, Ben Taylor, Richmond Fotaine, Soweto Kinch

I dont know half of these feckers. I was hoping for headliners of Maximo Park, Modest Mouse or Arcade Fire or some incredible Canadian band and Go! Team.

Magic Numbers! :018:

Dogshit

go for the beans

Complete and utter shit, apart from the Bunnymen

Magic Numbers FFS

The Whip are playing Sumo this weekend (Friday) and are good IMO.

I can take or leave the Magic Numbers but I fecking hate Echo and the shittymen.

Ian McCulloch is a cock and apart from 2 songs they are crap and have been everytime I've had the misfortune of catching them at a festival, the bastards even played Benicassim last year and by general consensus were the worst band there.

I liked them but they should have packed it in years ago IMO.Out of interest was last years Summer Sundae a sellout/a success..that might be why this years lacks the bigger names:102:

It sold out all 3 days and won best small festival at some awards. I went and it was the best one yet.

I think people are forgetting that 2 of the headliners haven't been announced yet and a load of other acts will follow.

Who knows The Arcade Fire might be on playing some of their up tempo tunes in the sunshine

I'm sure last year's did sell out, and the two headliners this year are probably bigger than any of the bands on last year.

I'd say Elbow are bigger than The Magic Numbers but I might be wrong

Echo & The Bunnymen aren't headliners on the main stage, might be indoors but there is another 2 main stage headliners to be announced (rumours include Paul Weller and Travis) and at least 2 indoor headliners (LCD Soundsystem are rumoured).

But the Magic Numbers are so big they're having to strengthen the stage. :icon_roll

One way to measure popularity is to see how frequently people search for them online. According to Yahoo's search reporting thingy, 3643 people searched for Elbow last month, and 14414 searched for the Magic Numbers. But neither has won the league as many times as Leeds United (17,405 searches).

It was a success, first time they managed to sell out all three days. It helped that they had 3 bands on the top of the bill who were recognisable.

I was hoping for Maximo Park one day, a dance-r band the next day and then hopefully, a good from Atlantic the other day. We'll wait and see.

Maximo Park, the Go! Team, Los Campesinos!, Jeremy Warmsley, Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, Blood Red Shoes, Cajun Dance Party, I Was A Cub Scout, Peter Bjorn and John, Willy Mason.

I want all these on the bill.

With hopefully Arcade Fire/Modest Mouse/Metric/USA/Canada Super Band

Magic Numbers are one trick ponies - literally.

But that might be because Magic Numbers were touring/had a new album out whereas Elbow are quiet at the moment
