I'm not usually that superstitious but I have a growing feeling as to why our home form is so wretched.

The first season at the Walkers we were unstoppable. Then at the beginning of last season someone at the club, in their wisdom, employed an old man dressed in riding gear to screech out the post horn gallop from the centre circle.

IMO this bloke is solely responsible for CURSING our home ground! The more I hear him blurting out this noise the more I know we will lose at home!

Ditch him & let the good times role! Anyone else agree?! And I don't think it is fair to say we have crap players cause take a look around some of the squads we've come up against this season (& last on occasions!).

I saw CL last night in the boozer so maybe I should have suggested it to him!

Huh you'd think he would have them in for extra training today.
Was he pissed. :smt030 :smt030

I aint superstitious, but exactly the same thing occured to me yesterday.
Which is realy 'clutching at straws' We need to start making our own luck.

No he wasn't. He was drinking orange juice (unless it had vodka in it!).

There were a few that were pissed tho (who I won't name - no players mind you)... including The Birch (What a womaniser)!!

CL seemed a really nice guy & approachable. Said he couldn't believe how we haven't been picking up more points. He said no-one is more worried than him about our league position. Stated that we are capable of beating anybody on our day including Blackburn next week & just couldn't understand how we keep pissing on teams & not winning.

If it's any consolation, Ali Mauchlin thinks we will be safe from relegation!

Steve Guppy & Steve Claridge were also there... Sign them up!!

i hate that horn blowing fool, its so americanised ffs this is english football not the superbowl!

my dad knows the guy who did the tannoy at filbo, his name is mal, but when we got the walkers lcfc sacked him because his voice wasnt "enthusiastic" enough... they basically told him we want a more americanised feel to the game to hype up the crowd, i think it does the opposite. there was a petition on the web to get mal re-instated but it never happened. shame he is a nice guy too

I don't know weather it was 'mal' or the current guy, but one of them was selling 'boundry bam bams' at Edgbaston last year. I started speaking to him, he seemed like a nice guy.

he was cool he didnt abuse his position but he did get my dad 2 tickets to 1996 play off final and 4 tickets to 2000 worthington cup final. dad still in touch with him too he's a really sound guy. wish he was still there. i find the new guy doesnt really know how to use a mic, you often here him breathing right down it.

Defo agree that it coincides with Henry, this is a good theory. However, I have a better one.

It also coincides with a small fat little arrogant Tw@t, that we called Micky Adams taking over fulll control of the managerial aspects of the club.

I know it's a long shot, but it may just have some relevance. Also shortly afterwards we saw the arrival of the grey, piss smelling brigade, that should have finished playing football before Stanley Matthews did.

I blame the stewards. :?

Just off narborough road, town end, i have been told that levein and his staff can often be found in the pubs in this part of town after most home games.
