I have volunteered myself at work to become the 2006 Sweepstake organiser as part of my effort for the team to raise money for charity.

Anybody got any good ideas on events that i could use or websites that provide guidance on this?

Any help would be appreciated.

well so far i figured i could do the usual like the Grand National and of course the 2006 World Cup and Wimbledon.

A different idea would be to do Big Brother in the summer.

for the world cup i would suggest instead of a sweepstake you put all the teams in an envelope and sell the envelopes for a fiver without revealing who is in the envelope you hang on to them just right the persons name on the front and get them to sign the back and dish them out on or as near to final day, you can pay 1st place up to 4 th or pay some out and some for charity its a good crack ,im in three different ones down the local :icon_razz

Get a sheet of paper and write down numbers 1 to 49. Get people to buy a number or as many as they want. When the national lottery is drawn the numbers people have bought refer to the "bonus" ball. So if the bonus ball is 31, then who ever bought 31 wins.

or if there is a big group of you watching the football, write down 1 to 90 down the side of a bit of paper and then for a pound people pay for the time they think the first goal will go in, the winner is the one who is nearest and can get half of the prize money and the rest can go where-ever (I.E charity or your pocket)

But then you cannot support 'your' team. I would rather know who I had straight away so that I could become a Czech Rep fan for a bit, etc.
