.... well maybe not quite but he seems keen. :D :D  ;-)

Sylla's off to Foxes and Rab will follow

MOMO SYLLA has agreed a three-year contract with Leicester, and will soon be joined at the Walkers Stadium by Rab Douglas.
The Celtic duo have accepted the deals put in front of them by Foxes boss Craig Levein. Sylla still had a year of his Celtic contract to run.
But after a meeting with outgoing boss Martin O'Neill, he has reached an agreement which will allow him to move south for no fee.
The Guinean midfielder, who joined the Hoops from St Johnstone for £650,000 in August 2001, explained O'Neill had suggested he might want to hang around to see if he figured any more often in the plans of new boss Gordon Strachan.
But the frustrated 28-year-old is desperate for first team football, and believes this move will make that more likely.
He said: "I've spoken to Martin about it and he understands I have been made an offer which is a good chance for me. Other clubs are also interested.
"But, after being down at Leicester, I've been impressed by Craig Levein and believe this is the right move for me."
Sylla may have to wait until he returns from World Cup duty with Guinea next week before he can finalise the deal.
Likewise, Scotland keeper Douglas - who is now a free agent - is expected to have to wait until he returns from Belarus next midweek before he can sign the three-year contract Levein has offered.
Douglas was delighted to finish his Celtic career with another shutout and another winner's medal.
He said: "Celtic will go on long after myself and any of the others in the team leave.
"But it was a great way to finish up with a clean sheet and lifting the Scottish Cup."

Mixed reviews up here, but he should make a good Championship player and he is versatile - something Levein will need with a smaller squad.

well he has loads of pace which we have been missing for far to long and has played well in every position except goalkeeper, I am pretty happy with him signing to be fair

A good signing I think, if he is as quick as people say, if he can get to the byline then I am sure Connolly/DrVries can tuck the crosses away.

From what I've seen of him, which admittedly isn't all that much, then Sylla hasn't impressed me at all. However I will wait and see him play for us before I make my mind up properly.Celtic do tend to play a bit 'long ball' which might not have suited him....

Saw this, he was offered last January.

QPR alerted Celtic invite Sylla offers
tribalfootball.com - January 5, 2005

Celtic are encouraging offers for wing-back Momo Sylla.

QPR have been linked with the former Le Havre and Le Mans player, along with an unnamed SPL club.

The Guinean international was signed by Celtic for £650,000 from St Johnstone over three years ago.

I'm pleased, after seeing him play for a short spell against the Republic of Ireland XI on sunday i think he will do things at championship level.

I think both players are rubbish.
Sylla is an older Jordan Stewart. All pace, no brain.
Rab C. Douglas is not up to standard, I would rather have Hinckley's Tommy Whittle in goal.

Even Hinckley don't want Tommy anymore, harsh!

I think we've been through this before. Douglas is an International Keeper, played in Europe numerous times, won the lot in Scotland and that means he is the best we are going to get at this point in time, and he's free.

job Done, get him in

Too right! Who else do people expect us to get?

Bookies will be pleased, then

I doubt that we will, though...........

you can't judge a player before seeing them play at least 10 games for us, let alone on what you have heard about them-give the new guys a chance! Thats if they even sign

They will get every chance from me, but I've seen Cilla in a Celtic shirt and she don't look good
