I got my P60 last week and I paid a sum total of €0.00c in tax for 2007, so I'm not expecting any rebate.

When did you file for the return?

I will be due about the same from my job from June to April this year. How long do you think it will take if i file for it the day after i finish work?

I filed mine early May 07 and had about a grand paid into my bank in early August.

That seems a bit of a long timescale, i was told the average is 4-8 weeks.

I was hoping if i filed it before i went off to NZ, AUS, FIJI, that it would be in my bank by the time i come back to do Europe.

Money may be tighter than i imagined. A bit more thumbing of lifts may be required than previously thought.
