It is highly unlikely, but CL did play this formation last season, and I think it is the formation to get the best out of the players available.

Also bearing in mind the fact we need to start getting results, Craig may well feel it is worth a try.

DeVries is a certainty to start, I am afraid.

I'd be more worried if de Vries didn't start. He's scored more goals this season than Hume, Hammond and Dublin put together.
Despite his comedy moments he's much better than he was last season and he links up with Hammond and Hume better than they do with each other.

I don't think there's any need for you to worry, Webbo. CL has more sense than the boo-boys who always seem to get on the back of certain players. In fact he already said that MdV will play tomorrow; his worry is about whether it should be Hume or Elvis that partners him.

Think its a bit early to say what the best partnership of the three is is. Hammond and Hume haven't played together a lot but would have the advantage of pace over DeVries and another. I am not fussed think they are all good enough for us at this level.

I don't know what made me say that about de Vries - I must have been in a bad mood yesterday! I agree that he has looked a lot better this season.
