Makins quality isn't in doubt, he's a Premiership standard fullback on the left and right. The only reason he's trialing instead of being given a contract straight away is to prove his fitness. He'll definately start at left back with Canero at right back I think?

couldnt agree more,we need some bite in midfield!! if no-one else comes in it will have to be tiatto,we need an ally mauchlen!!..hopefully it wont stop at connolly,if he's given his word to a club like he has he cant go back on it now surely?even if his dad is sunderland manager!!!!

This obviously would depend on certain players actually signing.Obviously MA would never pick this side it is just my opinion.Scowcroft will certainly play along with Wilcox,without Connolly we are weak in attack, Tommy Wright is OK for a sub but Benjamin.......10 out of 10 for effort but lets face it he just isn't up to it.

OR do you not split Heath and Dabizas? We have a hard start to the season and it is important we get points on the board so maybe he wont introduce to many new players into the starting 11 at first.

Or am i just a confused fan with no real idea.....probably the latter.

Who knows? We might even sign so new playesr this week to really give us some options.

Things are looking allot brighter than they did 6 weeks ago. Only nine players on the books and sub 5000 ST sold.

Just hope connolly signs today..Finger crossed.

Elliott is injured for the first few games. Heath & Dabizas is first choice in the middle.

Tiatto & Williams is going to be first choice in centre midfield.

Dublin & Connolly(?) will be first choice up front.

Scowcroft will have to play, so he'll be first choice on right midfield.

Left midfield will be Wilcox almost certainly.

That leaves the fullbacks, who will surely be Canero and Makin?

Why the feck is everyone picking Stewart!?

The blokes clearly not good enough, wasn't good enough in Div 1 or the Prem in the last 2 years and you are dropping one of Tiatto or Wilcox for him.

Each to there own I suppose, but i'd do everything to keep him on the bench as a 15 min bit of pace to bring on, even then I'd prefer Morris in that role.
