Dear Mr Mandaric

Many thanks for asking us to write with our views on ticket prices……. Down to you really, the cheaper the better (see attendance for home Barnsley).

But while I’ve got you…

Please, please, please do something (soon) about our team; following Palace away, Leeds and QPR home I am no longer of any belief in the management of Kelly/Stowell.

Now, I am of the opinion Ian Dowie turned us down due to not wanting to work with a Director of Football (are you thinking that would be your role by the way?) and I am now worrying that we will lose many in the same vein.

We need leadership that is strong and purposeful (see Martin O’Neil era) and therefore I have always been delighted at your owning the club – but if we are to achieve promotion within 30, never mind 3 years to the top flight of English football, then we will need a manager who can motivate and get the players playing for the shirt. I would not be against Mike Newell actually, as I think he possesses that ability, as has the most successful manager who has worked under you, Harry Redknapp.

Looking around at managers available who may be interested in working for you, would Keegan be an option? Would any be options at working under a Director of Football and is there any reason why you are such a bastion of this? Talk of Billy Davies being unhappy at Derby and George Burley getting stick on the South Coast I think are of top interest too, for the record.

Put us out of our misery. Get the changes going sooner rather than later please, or a relegation battle (still a succinct possibility) could be on the cards – and judging by the level of interest shown from the likes of Horsefield of late, we could be in trouble should the heat get turned up….

You have inherited a club with passionate fans, you know that already. But they are throwing season tickets in the bin at present. I would imagine you would get a much better take-up on the subject of season ticket pricing once the fans start seeing some kind of progress, a progress which even the hardier Kelly fans (me, actually) have now demanded be actioned.

Many thanks for all your work and kind regards.

Dear Milan

Look mate - you didn't get where you are today by taking any notice of people who don't have the first idea of how to run a football club - so why are you asking our opinion?

The last board had no idea how to run a football club and look where that got us. Taking advice from the fans will lead you down the same alley, so when you've got all the opinions in just delete them. Don't even bother to print them out because you'll only have to struggle over to your waste-bin to dispose of them.

Since you ask about season-ticket prices, I will tell you that I reckon they are about right. I'm glad to hear that cash-flow is no longer a problem but it was nice to be able to get a few quid off this last few years. I would suggest that you keep a bit of a discount for the loyal fans though - they deserve it. And don't worry about reducing match-day prices for the odd game either - far better to get the ground full at what ever price and the season ticket was still the best value available whatever people say.

We've got no idea about the manager's job either although most of us seem to want to get rid of Rob Kelly. Nobody can seem to agree on whom to get in his stead though - quite a few are suggesting that Mike Newell fella who used to play for us and who recently got the sack for making life a misery for the board at Luton. I'm not so sure - he doesn't smile much and I reckon that's because he reckons he's one of the favourites for the Leicester job and he realises that once the fans have found out he's not up to much, they will suddenly remember that he scored the goal that kept us out of the Premier League in 1992 and constantly be on his back for it.

To sum up I'd be happy if you would just get on with your job as the leader of the club; I put my trust in you. And look at it this way, I don't ask you for advice on how to be a fan, do I?

You're still going to get the blame if things go wrong and I'm sure you would rather it was because of your own mistakes, rather than because you followed the advice of some no-hoper. Similarly if things go well and we're up in the Prem in the next couple of years, you don't want people saying that it was only because you followed their advice, do you? I'm sure you would prefer to keep all the credit to yourself.

So, just get on with what you're good at - we know nowt!

Best wishes

Boc (the bloke you spoke to on the train)

Dear Milan,

Sack Kelly, he's a useless cnut.

I'm always right in the end.

You guys are a bunhc of ****ers. I think its great the man at the top is taking time to see what the supporters think, particularly on a subject of money where you can bet most people will say 'I'll take them for free, but a penny dearer and you can count me out'
