Differing views on the trouble at Millwalls game at Huddersfield. The report from the local Examiner paper report Police contained the trouble BUT fans (see below) at the game appear to differ and some pictures in the papers show police strongarm tactics.
There was a LOT of trouble - the police werent there to see it!
They let us town fans down in a big way on saturday! I still cant believe the stupidity of releasing both the millwall fans and the town fans at the same time through the away end, with no police presence at all..... no wonder the police think there was no trouble - they deserted us!

A complete and utter fabrication of the truth. The WYP took their overtime pay under false pretence.Whoever was in charge needs demoting and put back on the beat.

I agree with MrAngry! Total fabrication! I saw a child hit with a bottle thrown by a goading lout!!To let them out of the stadium with NO police presence for nearly ten minutes was a disgrace!!

Did the author of the above artical actually attend the game or even speak to anyone who did?
From speaking to friends who attended the game struggle to see how the examiner journalist can come to such a polar opposite point of view.
Maybe in future your journalist should actually do their job and report on the actual events instead of writing exaclty what the police tell them to.

This is a total cover up by west yorkshire police - 'lets get to the local media first and tell them how good we are before the truth can come out'. The fact is the police SERIOUSLY messed up in a big way, I witnessed lots of people being hit by missiles, and people genuinely scared for their lives. There were no police there at all!
Likely to be trouble in the home leg I would reckon as well. Particularly if Millwall lose!!
