Hi everyone- just in case you don't know (and perhaps you don't care) itv are showing some vintage "The Big Match" footage.

Just thought I'd make people aware as I think it's easy to miss (as it is itv4) and even though I wasn't there it's enjoyable. Interesting to see where current managers were then, just watched O'Neill fly one in for Norwich against Liverpool 30th April 1983!

Quite interesting: it's on at 8.25 Saturday mornings itv4.

Thanks for the link, I just watched it. There were some fantastic mullets on display there. It was a bit before my time as a football fan, as I didn't watch city until the build-up to the 1993 play offs, so it's nice to see some of the old players.

Just caught it, bloody hell it were 29 years ago!

Apropos, this young lad Jacob Blyth signed from non-league, as well as Alan Smith (Alvechurch) there was Ian Wilson and Kevin MacDonald (Scottish Junior Football), Paul Ramsey (Irish Junior) and John O'Neill (Loughborough Uni) all taking a short cut and missing out the Football League. Times change.
