In case you hadn't noticed, is on tonight at 11
Good call.
I was expecting a thread about the league itself and our likely return etc. I was getting ready to say what a horrible ****ing league I think it is and that i'd rather p[lay 5 seasons in league 1 than it that ****ing piss pot.
Yeah, you would have hated the January we've got in front of us...... 10th Derby, 17th Birmingham, 27th Coventry and then Forest on the 31st. Best out of it.:icon_rollGood call.

Of course :icon_wink. I'd settle for 9 points to be honest. Keep up the playoff pace and another big day out at Wemberley.12 out of 12 points then? That's what the mighty foxes would get - any less and you'll be a laughing stock! :icon_wink

Carry it on in the CCC and then I'll be impressed at the turnaround. You're quite impressed with Foxes this term aren't you Drydal?
It may well be, but last season the problem wasn't the player's abilities, it was their attitude and their Manager.Correct me if I'm wrong, but your current team is, if anything, weaker player-wise than the team that went down.

My fear for you is that MM has done his dough and wont have the cash you need to be competitive at the next level. Correct me if I'm wrong, but your current team is, if anything, weaker player-wise than the team that went down.
I'm pleased you're doing so well, not least because it helps keep filthy Leeds down, but one step at a time.
We have farmed out a lot of the shit from last season and got rid of 2 of the most over rated plyers in Leicesters History in Hume & McAuley.
I would actually disagree. We have farmed out a lot of the shit from last season and got rid of 2 of the most over rated plyers in Leicesters History in Hume & McAuley. We have Tunchev instead at the back who is twice the player McAuley is and Fryatt is at last delivering on the potential we were told he had (though still to prove it at a higher level). We now have wingers and pace in the team. All in all I would pick this seasons playing squad every time.
As Melton said we have a far better manager and there seems to be a team spirit not seen since MON days developing. For the first time in years there is a feel good factor to being a Leicester Fan again.
Agree 100%. I think this seasons squad is miles better. Got rid of the shit and while some are still on our books, they don't get a look in.
We've got the right blend of youth and experiance in this squad. Oakley is starting to show his true form that we've all known he has. King has benefitted from a long run in the side. Tunchev is quite possibly the best defender i've ever seen down there. (i'm young remember) better than Elliott, Mcauley, Taggert and Walshie.
If we can keep the majority of this squad together and add a few shrewd signings, i see no reason why we won't be play offs next year, i really do. I said before and i'll say it again, relegation to league 1 was the best thing to happen to this club in the last 7 years. I make no apologies for believing that. As the old saying goes, its better to take one step back and then 2 steps forward.
The negativity in this club was killing it slowly. There is a different feel to this club now. The club is confident and despite what we sometimes read on here, the fans are generally happier. I actually want to go to games now. I've been to more home and away games this season than i have been to in the last 2 seasons put together. In fact i've only missed 2 home games and i'd have gone to them if i didn't have summat on.
I think Nigel Pearson if given the right time and money will maybe take this club back to the promise land and go along way to joining David Pleat and Martin O'Neill as one of our greatest managers.
lets see how long it takes someone to pick up on the pleat comment. only joking he was a ****
I was about to say that you were doing OK until you got to there, but...
GOT ME!!
I'm sure Pearson has had a positive effect on the players and is a vast improvement over the joker you had last season. It may well be, but last season the problem wasn't the player's abilities, it was their attitude and their Manager.
We may have players with less ability, but their attitude is unrecognisable and we have a manager who can get the best out of them.
I'd rather have this bunch of players playing to 95% of their ability with Nigel Pearson in charge, than last season's players playing to 25% of their ability with Ian Holloway in charge.
As I said at the time, If relegation meant getting rid of Holloway, then it was a fair price to pay. The worse thing for us last season would have been survival in the Championship and Holloway still in charge.
I don't know, but I hope we find out. Will your same group of players who folded badly last season be able to raise their game when results go against them and after Milan has refused to open his wallet and strengthen the squad?
