A lot of people don't read all the threads, so we're bound to get new threads like this.

In my opinion it's more sensible for each rumour to have its own thread (with a sensible title), it makes it easier for people to scan down the page to see what's going on, and which threads they should read. The rumours thread could have 50+ new posts between visits for some people, not everyone has got the time to spend all day here, and they won't notice stuff in a rumours thread or a 'Homer's...' thread.
But I seem to be in a minority with this opinion :102:

Youre not, I agree with you.

Re: Hughes on his way?

Im with you Jeff

Not everyone has time to scroll through the rumours thread and every other thread to see what has and hasn't been said.

Not always worthy of abuse IMO

Re: Hughes on his way?

Starting a new thread on something that already has a thread is annoying but you cant blame people who start one when its only in the rumours thread.

Re: Hughes on his way?

And people still add things to the rumours thread that have been posted there several times before.

At least if it's in its own thread people can ignore the thread completely, rather than have to read loads of repeated stuff in one big rumours thread.

Lets give it a go. We can all but try.

Re: Hughes on his way?

Having indvidual threads also makes it much easier to scan the forum for news/rumour

Great theory but would be better with a sub forum so people could ignore everything in forum if they wished. ;)

I do, and I do. It's up to the individuals to read or take no notice of anything they wish to.

You can't arrange and sort out so many random people posting in the right places. People should learn to just put up with it or bloody ignore it

Re: Hughes on his way?

fully agree with jeff, to me its not a problem i reckon i have enough brain power to be able to scan the posts and pick out what i do and dont want to read.
