Leicester City have been linked with a move for RB Salzburg striker Hwang Hee-chang.

The Athletic claim Brendan Rodgers and his recruitment staff are eyeing a move for the South Korea international.

Though, they join a host of Premier League clubs including Brighton, Everton and Wolves.

Hee-chan Hwang, who is currently valued at £27m, has scored six times in 14 league appearances this season, scoring another three in six outings in the Champions League.

That form has seen a number of Premier League clubs become interested, and City are said to be one of those clubs.

Though, the report does go on to say any move isn't likely to be this month.

The Foxes are more likely to make a move in the summer when they may look to reinforce their attacking options.

Brendan Rodgers currently has the Premier League's leading scorer Jamie Vardy and an in-form Kelechi Iheanacho as out-and-out striking options.

Iheanacho has scored six goals in nine appearances this season, and that looks to be enough to ensure Rodgers is pleased with his options heading into the back-end of the season.

Slazburg have already lost two key men in Takumi Minamino and Erling Haaland this month.

They are likely to do everything in their power to hold on to Hwang Hee-chan, at least until the summer.

No need for panic, but this window has been surprisingly quiet - not just for us in, but in general. Very little in the way of real rumours either.

Surprising; I thought a number of teams would be making moves, particularly with Everton and Spurs having high profile new managers to please (Spurs have signed a player today though), new manager at Arsenal, a number of clubs under-performing, etc.

As ever, they'll all panic in the last 3 days of the window and then moan about high transfer fees or missing out on players.
