Good signing at £30 million considering his price last year was £50 million.
He's better than Maguire in my opinion and for almost a 3rd of the money we really did have manures pants down.

Tarkowski would be a really good signing.

I wonder if they're now thinking Tarkowski is a better move than Fofana due to Wilf's injury?

We can't be ****ing about with not getting the right man at centre back if we're without our defensive mid until Christmas. Tarkowski is Premier League proven and ready so could slot right in, whereas Fofana is more of a gamble and one for the future.

Not to be all Harry Worley in midfield or Diabate at centre back, but I wonder if signing Tarkowski would give us more option to play 3 at the back but with Soyuncu playing a bit of a sweeper role to cover missing Ndidi.

• Still hopeful as West Ham offer is spread over 6 years whereas we offer more up front
• Keen on Tarkowski but won't pay over the odds
• Tah is the other option if we can't get either of those.
