Speculation The hysterical and annoying, but traditional, totally unfounded summer 2022 rumours thread

Here's hoping that he's been told that he has no future here and it's an attempt from his agent to get his name out there.

Either that or it's just made up nonsense.

‘Plotting a move’ is a good one.

I think we're overtsating his performance a little bit here.

Without watching it back, I'm pretty sure he either twatted the ball out for a throw or needlessly gave the ball away which lead to him actually defending for once and not being completely shite.

Get rid ASAP as he really is the Junior Lewis/Lee Marshall of modern LCFC.

How Brendan Rodgers is planning for Leicester City's summer rebuild
Brendan Rodgers is targeting up to three major signings this summer as he prepares for a “healthy shake-up” of his Leicester squad.
Rodgers’s plans ahead of next season are already under way, with a winger, a 'No. 8' and centre-half understood to be priorities in the rebuild after a difficult third full campaign in charge.
Following the FA Cup defeat by Nottingham Forest in February, Rodgers and Leicester have responded with six victories from 11 matches, with the club hierarchy firmly behind the Northern Irishman to carry out the overhaul.
Rodgers is determined to improve the team this summer, and wants signings who will go straight into his starting XI: PSV Eindhoven winger Noni Madueke, an England under-21 international, and Nottingham Forest’s Brennan Johnson have been regularly scouted this season.
Rodgers, however, admits recruitment may be tougher than ever this summer, due to the vast financial power of the ‘Big-Six’ and emerging forces such as Newcastle and Aston Villa.
The impact of Covid on finances has been significant on all clubs, though Leicester - who are owned by Thailand-based duty free company King Power - have been hit particularly hard in the Premier League.
It is understood that next year’s estimated pre-tax losses could be more than double the £33.1 million announced in February.
As a result, it will require shrewd trading to bring in the players Rodgers wants, with Youri Tielemans, Kelechi Iheanacho, Caglar Soyuncu and Ayoze Perez among those who could be sold to raise funds.
Tielemans, the Belgium international, will be priced at around £25 million as he has only one year left on his contract.
He wants to play in the Champions League and has attracted previous interest from Liverpool and Manchester United, while Real Madrid may see him as a potential successor to Toni Kroos.
There is, however, a chance that Tielemans could see out the final year of his contract. He has remained professional and committed despite the uncertainty around his future.

Yet it appears inevitable Rodgers will need to sell players before he can buy this summer, with Leicester also under pressure to reduce a bloated squad.
“Recruitment is absolutely critical to a club like ourselves,” said Rodgers earlier this month. “It takes money, and the competition in the league will only grow in the Premier League.
“If you look at the investments of Newcastle and Aston Villa, and other very wealthy owners supporting the likes of West Ham, it’s going to be a real challenge.
“We’ve got a fantastic group of players here and we can’t be afraid to say we don’t have the resources of some of these clubs, but that doesn’t mean we can’t fight, or develop and challenge.”
Leicester have established a reputation as excellent recruiters, though a number of signings made last summer, such as Boubakary Soumare, Jannik Vestergaard and Ryan Bertrand, have underwhelmed.
Though there is sympathy for Soumare over his move to a new league, the £15 million buy from Lille has struggled with the intensity of the English game and started only once in the league this year.
Rodgers wants signings this summer who will challenge for a regular place and create serious competition around the core of 16-18 first-team players.
A new centre-half is regarded as essential, with 71 goals conceded in all competitions this season, though Leicester’s defence has been disrupted by injuries to Wesley Fofana, Jonny Evans, James Justin and Timothy Castagne.
Burnley’s James Tarkowski will be a free agent this summer and has been on Leicester’s wish-list for years, but the 29 year old is not under consideration at this time.
A younger player in the mould of Fofana, who has proved a huge success since joining from Saint-Etienne for £30 million, is more likely.
A crucial part of Leicester’s summer will be replacing Lee Congerton as head of senior recruitment, after his recent departure to Atalanta.
The new appointment will be a club decision, with Rodgers also involved in the process, and Leicester are using a top head-hunting firm to assist with the search. An appointment is close, possibly as early as next month.
Leicester also have decisions to make on other players, including Ademola Lookman who was signed on loan from RB Leipzig in August. There is an option to buy the Nigeria international.
Along with Tielemans, there are a number of other players with just over 12 months left on their deal including Perez, Bertrand, Daniel Amartey and Hamza Choudhury.
The big question is whether Leicester can find buyers, with the transfer market severely affected by Covid and the majority of last season’s matches being played behind closed doors.
It is all leading towards a busy summer for Leicester, as Rodgers aims to build on the progress since his arrival in February 2019.
While this season has at times been a slog, two fifth-placed league finishes, an FA Cup triumph and regular excursions in Europe underline why Leicester believe Rodgers is the man to continue taking them forward.

YT needs to either move this summer for a decent fee or sign a new contract.

The thought of him playing next season and it being the last year of his contract is scary, he's already going missing in most games.

Then again that may be down to the atrocious and wasteful role that his manager now makes him play.

I'd keep Amartey and Choudhury too instead of losing them on a free. At least Amartey.

Different if someone makes us an offer for them this summer though.

Would be a shame to lose Nacho, and we'd definitely need another striker if that happened so I don't really see the point in us selling unless we got a big offer, which is probably unlikely v

You'd sell for 80m though.
