OK, I'm lazy and I want to draw on the wealth of knowledge that the good people of TB are endowed with.

I might be getting a job in central London and am putting the feelers out on how much monthly rent is likely to cost. At the moment I pay £70 a week bills inclusive. It's gonna be a big hike from that.

Your thoughts will be much welcomed.

Cheers

depends on how much of a slum you want and how far out of town you want to live.
prepare for a shock whatever

Walthamstow is nice and reasonably priced. Nice, as in a shithole. And reasonably priced as in, 'Why the **** am I paying this much to live in a shithole.'

So, enjoy.

In my experience, Stratford and East Ham share some similar qualities.

Broadwater farm is idyllic and very reasonably priced. If you're lucky you might be able to buy milk & eggs from the farmer's wife.

are you ok sharing? scope prices out on gumtree

would you want to live central-ish or are you not bothered about living miles away?

is your job well paying? what's your budget?

Double what you pay now is always a decent gauge.

mate and his mrs pay £800 for a 1 bed i neasden. its quite nice but still.

their council tax aint cheap either. no withinpubs 20 mins

When I was young and free I lived in Kings Cross,a small squalid bedsit but cosy enough to entertain my clients.A man could earn more than enough if he was willing to go to any lengths, which naturally I was...I Still have fond memories of those days:016:

:icon_conf Isn't that horrible ? He disgusts me

They were happy days together h.
Remember how you used to rim Tony the Greek so he'd let you off your share of the rent?

Even on my wages I cannot afford a decent (what I would call decent :icon_wink) place in London. :icon_conf
