Is that there are no goals in the front two, and whilst it is encouraging to see that we have improved as a defensive unit...we need a goal scorer. If you don't score goals you don't win games. Ashamedly the only attacking option I have noted lately is Tiatto, and he is supposed to be a left back.

We either need to provide the front two with better service, or as I secretly suspect...we neeed to look for a striker. Perhaps we could offer Dublin and Blake in a two for one deal

You right connely seams to miss to many opertunities and scowy reverted back to his usual (I anit got my heart in it) self

Of course you are right.

We lost three decent strikers in the summer & the replacements have not been adequate -end of story.

We need an out and out scorer someone who just puts the ball in the net ,in a Tony Cottee mode(but younger!).

Ideas on a postcard! or just posted here, whatever grabs you really...

Trouble is that I can't think of anyone young and available worth a shout. One potential player for the future springs to mind...but this is just me as a biased Ireland fan:

Aiden McGeady (Celtic)
Born: 4/4/86 Caps: 1 Goals: 0
First cap: v Jamaica 02/06/04 Last cap: v Jamaica 02/06/04

Born in Scotland, Aiden McGeady qualifies for Ireland through his grandparents and resisted regular invitations from Scotland to represent Ireland. First selected by Ireland at Under 16 level, McGeady was highly-rated by Brian Kerr when he was underage manager and was selected at Under 17 level, while he has since gone on to win Under 18 and Under 19 caps. At club level, McGready progressed rapidly through the underage ranks at Celtic earning a first team debut towards the end of the 2003/04 season. Rave reviews about his talent saw Kerr, who was monitoring his progress, call him into the Ireland senior squad for the summer friendlies against Romania, Nigeria, Jamaica and the Netherlands.

Hes young, and has already had his Celtic debut! But is an unknown, and probably isn't the immediate answer...guess I just included this as food for thought

Ive always wanted to see Tommy Wright given a decent chance. He's Leicester through and through and would give 110%. Only downside would be he would probably pick up a few yellow or red cards

Any idea how he's getting on in the reserves these days?

On The Championship they said how Sunderland had chased Connolly in the summer but instead had to settle for Elliott.... He's got 8 goals this season, Connolly has 2. :?

We wouldn't get McGeady, unfortunately.Rob Hulse at WBA wouldn't be bad. He's proven goalscorer at this level not only for WBA but for Crewe as well,he did come on for them today though so he might be in Robson's plans.Matt Jansen is another I wouldn't mind, well capable in this League.

Wright has been pretty good in reserve action...trouble is at the moment I think he is injured...this is why he hasn't made the bench!

I'm not convinced by him yet though...good, but probably not the answer!

I am still convinced that Connolly will come good. His workrate is excellent and sooner or later that net will bulge and the floodgates will open. Stick with him and give him full support, he will reward us, trust me, I'm a doctor.

We are all in agreement that CL needs time and so does Connolly, we never played to his strengths under MA and he has only played three games under CL. Connolly has ran his balls off every game for CL, keeping possesion and bringing others into the game, his touch and vision have been second to none compared to the rest of the team.
He has a proven scoring record at this level and as soon as CL can sort out the service to both strikers I can see Connolly and Scowy scoring a fair few goals. Why replace a player who is showing some heart?

I'd stick with Connolly ,him and Scowcroft are still our best options. We could do with someone else on the bench though because IMO our reserve Strikers aren't up to it and I see Morris as a winger not a centre forward.

What's that, goals per season?

Williams is in the reserve side tonight, whats the opinion on him?I haven't really seen him play but at least he gives us an option something that we lack IMO.

he looked pre season but has been poor of late however CL may get better out of him especially with a passing game

I have always known Connolly is good, as an Ireland fan I have followed his progress throughout his whole career and have always been impressed. I was massively excited when he signed for us, and I still think he can do the buisness...I just don't know what this is doing to his confidence though! THat crossbar seems to have his name on it at the moment!

Williams will come good! Has the potential to be our best player, but I think he has lacked a firm disciplined hand...that is until Clarke Kent, mild mannered football manager took over at city.
