Head Over Heels, what a game

oh and i liked Chuckie Egg 2 an all

Never had a spectrum, but my kids had some great games on their BBC micro

I had an Amstrad CPC 464

Fav games: Yie Ar Kung Fu, Leaderboard, Roland In The Caves, Jet Set Willy & Manic Minor

I moved to a Spectrum after an Acorn (lovely thing, poor power pack reliability) and a Tandy TRS-80 (Super Computer. 4k base with an upgrade to 16k)

I had a SpecDrum durm machine plugged into the Spectrum 48 and my band released a single that had the Spectum providing the drum track! Great days.

Spectrums were for people who didn't have proper computers. There were much better home computers around at the time.

There were, but the Speccy was the one to have. Even though the colours were rubbish and if you played a 2 player game on the keyboard some of the keys overwrote each other. So you could end up moving your opponents players in Match Day 2. Great days.

Of course, that's only if you hadn't wrecked your keyboard playing Daley Thompson's Decathlon....

I had an acorn electron before moving onto a commodore 64 and then onto amigas.I thought my amiga 500 was the best computer i the world!

The Amiga was sheer class. The original Championship Manager and SWOS. Happy days.

Yes, I upgraded from the Speccy to the Amiga as well. Made a choice to go for a 'serious' computer instead of a Mega Drive or Nintendo - more chance of Dad buying!

Spent far too long on both those games :icon_bigg

Why?

Because it was cheap?

A cult thing I suppose. It was certainly the home computer of choice amongst my peers at that time. Not many game swaps going on involving the C64.

My parents were buying so I don't recall what the price difference was but no doubt the C64 was more expensive given the limitations in the Speccy's power.

And I certainly wasn't going to get an IBM-PC at that age :icon_wink

I had a Commodore 64 when I was younger. Had some great games.....James Pond Robocod was the best!
