The Ticket 'Credits' System

Just wondering if anyone can fully explain how this works?

As a family we have 3 season tickets and I was told there is 8 credits on one ticket... and 6 credits on another.

Does that mean I have a total of 14 credits?

No, credits are per season ticket. No culmination.

I have double figures and my brother little less; therefore sometimes I have to wait for him to be eligible.
