Radio Leicester have heard about the plans for a sit-in( no matter who think the groundshare is a good idea or not-the way the Club have once again treated the fans without any thought is out of order)

anyways.... for some reason they i'm involved in this sit-in(ahem  )
so i'm going to be on the show in the morning, talking about the reasons for it.

my boyf has been printing off leaflets to hand out before the game on Saturday.... we want this to be PEACEFUL, and to show the board that the fans feels as if we've been treated like schoolchildren who don't have a right to know what is happening at THEIR Club.

just a question, why have they treated the fans without thought? Nothing is definate, and you have the chance to protest so whats the problem? You aren't being ignored cause there is a meeting for the fans and you are able to go on Radio Leicester.

The club made it public to gauge reactions, if they hadn't and put it through without any input from the fans, you'd have an argument.

Interesting that you are trying to get people to sit in on the pretence that they have been misled not that they are against it. Surely this is just to boost numbers whilst the reported and real reason would be to highlight the amount of fans against the sharing of the ground.

I for one have no grudge against the idea or believe the fans have been 'ignored' so far so will be in the pub by 5.15 on saturday evening.

At least the queue might be less.

I still think the 'shit in' would be more productive.

a) kills two birds with one stone because you'll save bog time
b) they won't touch the seats 'cos of the poo hence no change
c) the stink will symbolise this whole shoddy affair
d) the poo can be used as manure afterwards
e) it'd be funny

no it's not that, that's my personal view.

it wasn't me who suggested the sit-in, there are many people who are angry at what has happened and the way it has come across.

and a lot of people genuinely want to show they aren't happy with the idea.

the Club want to know the fans reaction?? well this way they can see it for themselves. it'll be for about 15 minutes after the game, and personally i think this would be better than having people getting themselves worked up demonstrating outside the West Stand.

i'm not saying the fans have been 'misled' but i honestly think that for how long this has been discussed for, then at the very least both Clubs might've shown more respect towards their supporters by asking us before making it come across as a 'done deal'(even though the Club say it isn't)

I'm just not bothered by the proposed merger. If it goes ahead it will be good for us cause we'd have more money. If it doesn't then we have our own stadium.

I'm not bothered by the green seats, there won't be a problem with the pitch, or the notion of sharing.

A lot of Leicester fans are a bunch of whinging idiots who moan about anything and everything pretty much all the time.

I agree with all that, protest if you want, make you points, but I'm not convinced it would be a huge majority doing so.

So they've not made it out to be a done deal then if they've said it isn't one. You just don't believe them.

Thats a different point and what reasons do they have for lying?

thought we weren't discussing the pitch anymore??

but was talking to a Watford fan last night, and they said that they paid £750k for a new special 5% plastic material to ease the pressure on the pitch last season but it got that badly ripped up it had to be replaced this summer, and it looks like it might have to be replace next summer as well-it dpeends what the weather is like through the winter on how badly it gets damaged.

We don't think its correct to say they are not thinking about fans. Tim Davies seems to be personally replying to all correspondence he is receiving - how many other Chief Exec's would do that?

You need to look outside football. Say 2 firms are considering a joint venture/merger - do you believe the directors would consult their customers, employees etc first? - most unlikely.

Now in the public arena consultation commences, yes the odds are it will go ahead - fans against it need to come up with a very sound arguement against it.

The Trust is still taking a neutral stance on this & therefore will not support a sit in or criticise that some fans want to show their feelings in this way.

We will consult our members & gather more information.

nope, i don't believe them, was listening to the Rugby phone-in last night and they don't see how all this can be ready for next season unless things are further advanced than what they are saying. because of all the legal stuff they have to get through re: the RFU and the FA and everything.
plus the Tigers board seem to be pretty convinced it will happen judging by what their chairman was saying on the Radio yesterday, they already sorted out everything that will be moved over to the WS- how can they do that if things aren't agreed?

maybe i'm biased, but there are a few things since this board took over which have narked me,especially in their regards towards fans feelings.

yes, i understand the ££££ but i don't see why it should run roughshod over the people who MAKE the Club.....where would LCFC be if it wasn't for FANS a couple of years ago?

ps: i'm not a whinging idiot :P

Maybe you aren't but they'll make a high proportion of the sit in.

I've said it elsewhere, if the fans of both teams oppose the proposal in large numbers (somewhere about 50% of both clubs) then they won't and realistically can't run roughshod over the fans.

You'll have your say, it's just I'm not 100% convinced enough are against it, which means you have to accept it and get on with things. as long as propaganda from both sides doesn't cloud the real issues then it will be interesting!

BTW I am willing to be proven wrong!

Would it not make more sense to take some sort of action at half-time.I mean doing a sit-in afterwards strikes me as a little pontless, the'powers that be' will be in their warm exec suite drinking beer etc, eating their sarnies, they won't even see you sat there freezing your baltics off.I've nothing against protesets and if you feel that strongly then go ahead but i just think a sit-in isn't the way to show your displeasure.Ask Homer if He'd mind doing a 'streak' while Henry blows his horn.

i think there many things need to be discussed and sorted out before a lot of fans consider the proposal.

i want to see all the facts and figures so i can judge the whole scenario properly.

yes,i'm selfish, and i want our ground to be OURS, but i also understand some of the proposed reasons behind the idea. after listening to RL for the last two days though, it seems to me as though more is being done to placate the tigers fans and make sure they get what THEY want..... surely if this is to be a 50:50 partnership then BOTH sets of fans should be treated the same.
also listening to Mr.Tom yesterday, he said that the Tigers decided that it would cost them more to redevelop the Next and Crumbie stands than to do this, and they get all the facilities without the additional outlay.
so it does seem as though the tigers are pushing for this maybe a bit more than the Football Club.

i think it'll be a couple of months before we know most of the details, but until we do i'd rather cling to the hope that the WS will eventually be ours and ours alone before(albeit reluctantly) agreeing that this would work.

   Thats disgusting!
Anyway I dont think Henry would be able to just breath through his nose whilst he's running

I didn't mean it to come across that way.........I'm just making it worse now

Wholly agree with the Trust here. Tim Davies is the most personable man in football. The merger is being done with the best interest of the club at heart. Tim Davies is a leicester fan through and through and although Im not exactly happy about I can see the financial benefits.

I'm sure there are financial benefits to selling your wife and kids on Leicester market

But you still wouldn't do it (probably)

Fair point. However it would more like selling your missus for half the week but then being able to enjoy her for the other half - with someone else picking up half the bill. Seems fair to me.

i've always found him to have time for the fans which is why i have emailed him about this.

yes i know this is a gut reaction from many people and maybe in a couple of weeks once the benefits have been explained in full, most will come to accept this. there are a lot of concerns that fans from both Clubs have and they have to be seen to be taking into the consideration the relevant views from all who matter.

but until then, let those who want to stay separate rant and rave as much as they like! :D
