Anyone got "The Eraser"? Is it any good? I'm thinking of getting it....I've heard 2 songs, both sound decent, nothing on Radiohead though...

Hmm...it got some bad press, but I liked it, especially the tit;e track, which is amazing! However, there is some filler pn there

I reccomend getting Jonny Greenwood's solo album "The Bodysong" first though, that was much better IMO. I think it proved Greenwood is the true driving force behind the band an not Yorke

The Eraser is fantastic, if you like the Radiohead albums of Kid A and Amnesiac this follows their style. It was mostly written on a laptop and he has created some fantastic beats and rythms, and his voice is at its best.

I have to disagree with Mikey on Bodysong, it is a very strange film and the music is beautiful, but not proper songs, it is a backing track.

The Eraser though, wow. The only bad thing about this album is that its release means we are still waiting for Radioheads 7th studio album!

Its ok but don't go expecting The Bends or OK Computer, its more Kid A

its like one of Radiohead's more 'pretentious' albums.

Yes, that's why I liked it, Kid A is amazing IMO and Amnesiac and HTTT are great too

I'd say this album is like Hail To The Thief..

I'd say it was a cross between HTTT and Kid A. Analyse uses practically the same keyboard part as the title track on Kid A

Kid A is the Radiohead album I like the best although OK Computer is the best album ever so it's a debate they engineered rather specifially for this sort of spin off.

Eraser as an album is good, if you like electro-music. Which I do.

Even though that makes no sence, agreed! OK Computer was the album that stopped me listening to the latest NME rag and actually make up my own mind about the music i like, so i guess it's the most important album ever (to me anyway), but i listen to Kid A a lot more these day and prefer it, plus it has How To Disappear Completely on, which is *@&%$! amazing! Very pretentious though (which is a good thing...)

Some people can pull off pretentious-ness, Thom and Jonny are those kind of people.

Of course, The Mars Volta have to take the tilte of "most pretentious band of all-time" and what a band they are! :038: :038:

indeed, they are extra-ordinary. I love them.

:038: :038: :038: Didn't think they'd be another Mars Volta fan on here. Which is your favourite Volta album, Joe? De-loused in the Comatoriam still does it for me...
