From a Spurs site:
Nottingham Forest midfielder Gareth Williams has said he would consider a move to the Scottish League if a bid did not come from the Premiership.
The 20 year old, who was on Rangers' books as a youngster is frankly excited by the thought of playing under Glenn Hoddle and would only take the route North as a last resort.
He told reporters that Spurs had been in touch for six months now and talks between his agent and the management at the club had taken place, although no firm offer had been received.
The Scotland Under-21 international added that playing for Spurs could only take his game onwards and upwards and that he would even play for Celtic in the SPL, although recognised that the quality is not as high as the English league.
