I saw him at the training ground on Friday, he was getting ready to go back to Finland where he said he has a couple of clubs interested in him.
I think the club thought he had not progressed as they had hoped and with so many strikers ahead of him (Dublin, Connolly, Benji, Wright, Blake and Morris) he had his contract terminated by mutual consent.

Agree with Joe Fox, there will be some dummy throwing tonight on Foxestalk.

For example "I played on championship manager all last night and Tomi Petrescu scored 2 goals in 20 games for the reserves, based on this Craig Levein, the academy staff, the directors and the supporters should be sacked as they clearly now feck all. Why didnt Mr Levein play on champ manager before he took over the club and he would have realised how good Petrescu is instead of letting him leave. Also there are 4 or 5 players currently playing in the under 12's who could walk into the first team and I know that cos Petrescu off Foxestalk says so he watches them every week"

I think we have established that the Jury is out on Tommi.

However, we have only seen him play first team football for 15 minutes. Wouldn't it have been better to send him out on loan like Tommy Wright and the Trickster and then see what he could do?

Perhaps the Champ Manager anoraks may be right - the fact that two intenational sides Finland and Romania wanted him to play for them also gives me cause for concern.

IMO the least we should have done is given him a chance - don't you think?

the only thing thats gets me about this, is we've let him go because there are lot of strikers infront of him, but we've let go a pontential quality player for Nathan blake, anyone else think the board got confused with names?
