Tonight's ref is ...

... Lee Probert!!!

We have only had this bloke once before - for the game at Gillingham last season, when he sent off their Nicky Southall for a second yellow in the 90th minute. His crime? To kick the ball towards the corner flag so that we could take a corner! OK, he kicked it a little bit hard but the ref could hardly wait to send him off - I think everybody was shocked by it, not just the Gillingham fans.

This season so far? 60Y 1R - an average of over 5 a game - no games without a card - most cards in a game = 9.

I fear the worst, but keep your eyes on the 4th official - he's a bird.

Vous aimerez Amy!

anyone suspect a couple of fines to the club for over 5 yellows?

Is it me or is this the worst season of refereeing ever.

I appreciate it's a hard job and decisions have to be made in a split second but the level of inconsistancy, not just from game to game, but actually from minute to minute in a game is getting mind blowing.

Referees have always been bad. But now we have to contend with their job being made even more difficult by the constant interference from the powers-that-be.

the situation with poor refereeing is made even more stupid when the FA always waits for the ref to change his decision, is it not time (like with that chelsea players disgusting tackle) for the FA to step in and admit for the ref that he made a mistake and take control. otherwise that referee either puts himself to being hated by chelsea or every other team in the league depending on his decision

Is there a site where we can check our players yellow and red card tally?
I cannot imagine the OS would provide such information, or do they?

de Vries has four yellows from Stoke (H), QPR (Home), Derby (Away) and Watford (Away)

Soccerbase hasn't recorded one against QPR and both the Football League and the Official Site say he only has three.

As I remember it, our bookings in that game were:
McCarthy for something that happened during the Maybury s/o incident
Steven Hughes, for a foul
and
Hammond, for taking his shirt off when he scored.
