Just read on bbc sport that the head coach of our 8-13 year old academy team has left to become assistant manager to Roy Keane at Sunderland. Strange choice...?

As an academy coach must have had a hand in producing some of our young guns, but presume he must know Keane as it is quite a promotion.:102:

read on sky sports just now that they were former international team-mates.

That could be where I saw him then, I used to someties watch Leicester Utd.

If I remember correctly wasn't the transfer of Lyne and Loughlan one of the ones investigated when Clough was accused of taking bungs?

Very good. ;)

To answer my own question, yes it was..

"The 'bungs' inquiry concluded that Fenton benefited financially from the transfers of Anthony Loughlan and Neil Lyne from Leicester United in 1989"

Yes it was. John Perkins, joined the Forest back room staff also....

Blimey, how do you lot remember all this stuff. I can't even remember who played up front for us last season

I can remember all sorts of useless trivia from 20 years ago, particularly football and music stuff. But I forget stuff from last week. Must be my age.
Forgetting things and baking shortbread. I would get it checked out :icon_lol:

Tony was very good friends with Roy Keane at Forest, he was Godather to Roy Keanes kids and Keane was Godfather to Tonys kids. Tony is a fantastic bloke and a great coach who will be a major success in the coming seasons. This is the next step on the ladder to the top for Tony.
