Train Help Needed

I need the cheapest prices possible for 2x returns from Leicester to Sheffield. We are going to Sheffield on Wednesday night for an Interpol concert, and if possible, would like to return home the same night (we wont get to the train station I'm guessing until about 11pm) If this isn't possible then we will get a hotel and stop over for the night.

MHS .... no cheap tickets left and it's not possible to come back that night at that time.

A saver return is £20.40 each and is the cheapest ticket available. You would have to travel back from Sheffield after 9am.

You can save just over a fiver by doing it on the coach. A return is £15.10. Some take 2 hours and others 3 hours.

It would be possible to travel back by coach/bus, but you wouldn't get back to Leicester until around 5AM. Cheaper than a hotel though.

If you could get to the coach station by 10:40 you could be back in Leicester at around 2AM.

It would involve getting the National Express coach from Sheffield to East Midlands airport, and the bus from there to Leicester.

But they have so few routes, and so few trains/buses on those routes, it's not much good for most journeys. For example they don't do Leicester to Sheffield tickets, which is what MHS wants.
