I know there's a few train experts on here so would like some help if possible.
I'm looking for return tickets to Edinburgh in March any weekend going on Saturday and returning Sunday evening.
Iv found prices for over £200 but surely I should be able to find cheaper? I'd be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction.

Cheap advance tickets are released 12 weeks in advance, so try again in a couple of months.

The most you should pay for a return on that journey should be £128.30, for an off peak return. The more expensive anytime return would only be needed if you were travelling at peak times on a weekday.

It's too early to look for cheap tickets for March. They are only available 12 weeks in advance.

The cheapest single fare between Leicester (I presume you are travelling from Leicester) and Edinburgh is £21 - though it may not be available on the days you want to travel.

Come back in December and we might be able to give you more help.

I think we could be flexible on dates, weekends would just mean not having to use holidays from work but that's not much of a problem. I'll look again in December.
