I have been offered a promotion at work that would mean me working in Cov. It would cost about £40/week in petrol but I am considering getting the train. The cheapest I can find at the times I would be travelling seem to be £11 return per day. I can't find any information, though I could be being blind, but do they do a season pass, or month pass that would save me anything significant on this?

http://ojp1.nationalrail.co.uk/en/pj/sts should be able to tell you how much it costs

Can't get it to work at the moment though.

The Arriva Leicester to Cov bus is quicker and cheaper.

There are two sets of fares between Leicester and Coventry. The cheaper of the two requires you to use the direct route between Nuneaton and Coventry. The more expensive allows you to use other routes which may be quicker at certain times of the day.

The Standard Day Return from Leicester to Coventry (by the direct route) costs £11.90.
7-day season = 52.80
1 month = 202.80
12 month = 2,112.00

The Standard Day Return (any permitted route) costs £19.90
7-day season = 90.20
1 month = 346.40
12 month = 3,608.00

Don't forget that the cost of travelling by car involves a lot more than simply paying for the fuel.

Cheers guys this is exactly what I wanted. I will get in touch with SWWG and see what he says.

Looks like they will have to give me a considerable rise if they want me to take it!
