So what potential benefits do you think having an insider will bring to the club?:102: How much influence will FT have in matters?

Ian G's job away from the Trust is a Consultant who advises a PLC Board on Corporate Governance and Control issues. This is the exact function of the Audit Committee

Therefore he is fully qualified for the position, which is why the Trust put his name forward some time ago and we were told if a position became vacant on the audit committee that he would then be considered.

Following a brief interview, his appointment was recently made.

He will offer sound advice if the practices being used by the club follow good corporate governance & recommend changes when/if required.

Along with the fact that we already receive a financial statement, this close examination of the figures would also enable a Trust representative to have early warning if the club took any unnecessary risks which could damage its long term viability.

Having said that, it is highly unlikely that TD would gamble in this way, but if the Chief Exec ever changed, the fact the Trust was established on the Audit Committee would be a good thing if somebody of a more risk taking nature was appointed.

Good thinking I suppose. Offsetting the losses this year against the previous years pre tax profits, what does the damage done look like, and Importantly, what will it look like at the end of the next trading year when the parachute money ends?

I think at this stage it is wise to assume we will not be going up, so will the wage bill be reduced further, and what would the consequences be of relegation?
