Yet another man of the match award was sealed by Aleksandar Tunchev this week after an impressive defensive performance helped City return to the top of the table, leapfrogging Scunthorpe United to the top spot. Tunchev narrowly beat goalscorer Lloyd Dyer and Swiss international Bruno Berner to the award, with the two midfielders being deadlocked in second place.
At the lower end of the scale, long term absentee DJ Campbell returned to the team only to be greeted with the Flop of the Match award from the fans. Full backs Joe Mattock and Marc Edworthy were the only other two in contention for the award.
