OK - found it:

In the case of a tie, half the stake is lost; the other half of the stake is settled to the full odds.

fox58 staked v£40 on Warwickshire

Half the stake (v£20) is lost.
The other half is settled at 11/10 = £22 + stake.
Total return = £42

They didn't draw - they tied. The rules state clearly that 'dead heat rules' apply.

If they had drawn and no odds had been offered for the draw, the stake would have been refunded.
