The Fox fanzine shortly afterwards featured a comic strip which suggested that Coatsworth's leg was somehow being controlled by a young lad's radio control. The youth's model plane crashed but Gary scored that wonder goal. It was funnier than I could ever describe.

If that header at Wembley goes in, a club legend forever.

Instead it falls to Walshie, whose status was already secured.

Fine margins.

Made worse by the fact that it was probably the only decent header of his entire career despite being 9ft tall.
