It brings Schlupp up one position in the pecking order, so I'm not complaining.

We still have the proverbial 4 strikers, so i'm not too worried!

Plus Pearson will recall Waghorn from his loan as soon as he returns as Manager :icon_bigg

Out for the rest of the season - http://www.lcfc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10274~2509598,00.html

City forward Darius Vassell is expected to miss the rest of the 2011-12 season after a knee operation.

The 31-year-old England international sustained a tear to his medial meniscus and ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament during the 3-2 defeat at West Ham United on 29 October.

He has since undergone successful surgery and is expected to make a full recovery in around six months.

Shame. Has put in creditable performances this year, without setting the world alight.

When does his contract run until?

Next summer. So we might not see him again.

That's what I was thinking, it depends if he can make a recovery and play a part in the run in. If NP or whoever our next manager is hasn't had a chance to work with him, I doubt he'd get an extension.

Shame really, I'd certainly hope that if NP is our man he can work some of his loan market magic or push Schlupp up the ranks. I do hope DR recovers quickly and fully and remains an LCFC player, however.
