This is my first post on this forum. I lived in Leicester from 1968 to 1973 and continued to support City until 1979 from the West Country where I moved to until I emigrated to New Zealand. I now live in Australia and have to follow the team by the internet news and forums, because until City get back into the Premiership the games are not televised here.

I grew up with Leicester through the Jimmy Bloomfield era and in hindsight it was something special my favorite players were Frank Worthington & Keith Weller but others to name a few David Nish, Len Glover Peter Shilton were fabulous players as well. Regretfully I missed the Martin O Neil era as I only started taking an interest again from the Micky Adams time.

The current season has certainly done my head in and I really am not sure about Ian Holloway. On the positive side he has brought in some better players and got rid of some of the dead wood but I did expect better results by now, but I can't watch the games so cannot really tell what is wrong.

I do not think that we will be relegated but mid table seems the most likely finish.

My gut feeling is that we have to keep Ian for at least 12 months to see if he can make it work another change now unless an absolute top Manager was available would be disastrous and they would not touch Leicester as it stands.

Anyway I will keep reading the forum and posting from time to time. Best Regards from Oz. Go City :038:

Well i have to say, it`s a good job the games arn`t televised there cus you would not admit to being a city fan.
Ive watched the last 2 game`s on sky now and they were very poor games to go along with a very poor pitch at the walkers, but that shoudn`t be an excuse.
We were lucky to win against Palace in the 89th minute when it went in off Hayle`s shin, but we got the points and thats all that matters.
The game against Plymouth was just a joke, on the hour mark 4 lads come in the pub where we were watching the game and chucked there tickets on the bar, When i asked them "Oh you`ve been to the game then"
His reply was
"Yes we have and we left the ground after 35 minutes cus that`s the worst game of football we`ve ever experienced and we wont be going again"
I think we will finish where we are now to be fair to them cus we aint good enough to finish any higher.

What are your views on religion? :icon_wink

Thanks for the tip about the televised Championship matches being on pay TV in Oz I did not know that I will check next time but I hope they improve. I am getting concerned now as I cannot see any points at Watford.

I watched the post match interview on LCFC World and Ollies body language was not good, this will not help his players when the s**t hits the fan which it has for City right now. He came out with no positive reasons for the loss just don't know & veiled threats, saddly looks lost & maybe out of his depth at the moment. To be fair the Plymouth crap would have shaken him.
