my son plays world of warcraft at school and wanted it at home.
OK says I and bought it today.
started loading it at 4pm, have had to download 5 patches so far, I've just stopped the 6th (a 3gb one that way saying it would take 20 hours)

Have i done something wrong? the pc is only a couple of years old.

All he wants to do is play the fecking game!

It's unlikely to be anything to do with the PC and it's age, it's more to do with the game, they release patches to improve or add functionality. Why on earth do they have WoW installed at school?

yeah, 30 day free trial when you buy the game... and then 8.99 a month. I am hoping he enjoys it and I can use it as a bribe tool to make the little fecker get up without giving out and generally stop him being such a little bastard...

helpdesk have advised i load an expansion set i have first, then it won't take quite so long.
