Defender Marcin Wasilewski has signed a new one-year contract at Leicester City, keeping him at the Club until the end of the 2016/17 campaign.
Wasilewski, 36, made nine appearances for the Foxes in all competitions last season, scoring once in a 2-2 FA Cup draw with Tottenham Hotspur in January.
The powerful centre back, having played 72 times for the Foxes since joining from Belgium outfit Anderlecht in September 2013, will bolster Claudio Ranieri’s defence during what is set to be one of the most exciting seasons in the Club’s history.
Alongside defending their Premier League crown, City will play in the group stages of the Champions League for the first time, and having played in Europe’s biggest club competition while at Anderlecht, Wasilewski’s experience will be of great value next term.
