Richard Stearman has got his first call up to the England U21 squad!

"Richard Stearman received an early birthday present today (Thursday) when he was named in the England under 21s squad for their upcoming fixture against Belgium at Darlington FC on Tuesday, September 6.

The defender, who celebrates his 18th birthday on Friday, has progressed through the City youth ranks and is now a regular member of Craig Levein's first team Leicester squad.

And that development has been mirrored at international level, where Stearman has already represented his country at both under 17 and under 18 level.

The game will be used as a warm-up to October's UEFA Friendly Tournament and the European Championship qualifiers thereafter."

whats the deal with that squad? don't recognise any of them and they only have 2 U21's caps between the entire squad!
