After todays result i'll admit that i can't work us out. From being the worst team in a generation to a young side with promise. What are we? After today we are just as likely to go out and produce a shocker at home to the likes of Crewe. False dawn or rightful optimism?

Flawed potential.

You really can't fail but to be reasonably optimistic after today. A buzzing attacking performance with pace throughout the side, something we haven't seen in a long long time.

There are bound to be a few more horror shows before the season is out however. A lot also depends on whether CL is brave enough to carry on with the same lineup (in attacking areas) for the next league match.

Been crying out for this to happen and I'm elated it worked, Maybe GL will understand now that a big man up front doe's not always work and certainly didn't look as good as today

totally bewildered and delighted by todays performance, dont know if it was something tactical by levein, the players putting in a bit more effort or just a bit more luck coming our way but absolutely fantastic result, really hope levein sticks with the same 2 strikers for the next few games. lets just hope we can get a big confidence boost from this and get some solid results over the next few weeks.

We were bright, energetic, hungry and good...pretty darn' good....Pinch me someone, even Elvis scored...

i honestly believe that in games like derby and watford away, and today we look better as there isnt the frustration from opposition teams coming to defend and hope for their one shot to go in. sheffield really wanted the points today and so did we, this played into our hands greatly as on paper our players are much superior in my eyes

totally agree Fitz, Crewe at home will pose more of a challenge in some ways although when Sylla, Hume and Smith play like that you just feel goals will come.

Finally realising some of the undoubted potential we have in our current squad, CL has rightfully recieved some stick over the last few weeks from me included, for what has been negative selections, tactics and substitutions and recently we had appeared rather stagnet. But today we were awesome, the movement and some of the interplay was top drawer, and Sheff Utd just could not contain our attacking play.

This has to be the kick start to the season, finally Craig has appeared to select a team and tactics to suit our strengths and not to nullify the opposition. To be honest put that attacking display on against Burnley last week and we would have won by a cricket score. No team in this division could have coped with us today on that form, regardless of the tactics they implemented.

well a bloke i know is married to Birchy's niece.

they were scattering the ashes of his mum at the rememberance garden yesterday morning and after having the meal and stuff Birchy said he'd show everyone round the gorund...they went into the home dressing room before kick-off when all the players were in there. they were very quiet and his little daughter piped up and said " i really hope you are going to win today cos you've been rubbish"

he said the look on the players on the players faces at being told off by a small kid was priceless.

Sometimes being shamed by a little child has ten times the effect of 15,000 adults, to be honest I dont think it will have been the main reason behind yesterdays performance but it will no doubt have hit a chord.

I like the idea of it. Maybe we could hire a little kid each week.i.e the mascot to tell the team that they have been crap and then we can continue to win games like we did yesterday!!!

Come to think of it we could have a five yearold on the coaching squad.
