I discovered that shops are full of ****s at this time of year.

It is entirely possible that shops are always full of ****s but I never visit them during the rest of the year.

I also discovered that Chelsea "supporters" get really angry if, every time John Terry kicks a ball on the big pub TV screen, you loudly announce that he is a racist and said racist words and is going to court to be found guilty of being a racist...or simply shout "RACIST" at the screen. They don't like that at all. No.

I finally learnt that my wife can be quite insistent when it comes to making sure I leave a pub.

Don't worry, it's festive thing. Apparently they 'ran away' on Boxing day and that's why we have to fight them forever more. That's what Christmas is all about, traditions. If it wasn't for traditions, there wouldn't even be big pubs or TV screens for you to spew your antagonistic bile in and at. So just count yourself lucky young man.
