Stoke City 0-0 Leicester City

Some could argue it was the single most important match of Leicester Citys 125 year history. Weve all seen the youtube videos, mostly by Forest Fans. Gareth MacAuley rises up and plonks his header against the post. Well what if it had gone in? Where would we be now....

Ian Holloway would have no doubtedly have kept his job and been hailed a Leicester Legend (cringe).

Ian Hume would still be among our ranks as would a few others. Sergio Hellings would have broken into the 1st team. A finish of 18th (our personal favourite) leaves Leicester City dwindling in the Championship Piss Pot once more.

A record 17 signings over the course of the season leaves us with an all time high of 84 registered players.

Charlie Adam is our big name signing at 500k and we partner Carl Cort with Jason Euell going into 09/10.

Matty Fryatt is released and after gaining another 3 stone features only once in a short stint with Quenniborough in the alliance league.

That would not have happened. He would not have kept his job either way, never in a million years, he was already gone before that game.

As for 'Leicester legend' I think you must be smoking crack

:102: What wall are you banging your head against and why?

Your probally right there, Im basically just trying to point out that if we did survive we definately wouldnt be talking about Promotion this year.

I mean seriously would Holloway have survived? its a good point. Would Hume/Stearman have stayed?

Who would we have signed the following summer?

Relegation was a good thing ! One step back 2 steps forward !

Thats really interesting Macky.

Oh thanks for that Teddyboy, that's just great, now the calibration is all skewed.
Go buy yourself an apostrophe, you've obviously lost one.

Another witty nugget from Mackaldinho there.....

My sarcasm meter is set to 11 and I didn't detect even a flicker

Problem is though Macky, since Melts has been absent, we have had nothing with which to calibrate the meters.

I agree that relegation will have done us a lot of good in the long run. Dont think Holloway wouldve gone, but he definitely wouldnt be heralded as a Leicester legend.

What if....

Martin O'Neill had the £25m Peter Taylor wasted?

That, for me, is worse when you think about it.

What if Martin O'Neill hadn't forced out the only people on the board with any sense of fiscal responsibility?

There's a company you can send them to in Stafford called ToolCal. They mostly do things like torque wrenches but they have staff trained in sarcasm meters.
