What ruined MY day...

Living in Arizona you don't get much chance to see the Fosse on TV, especially playing in the "Chumpionship". So I was getting excited. We don't have cable but my New Zealand mate does. He was away for the weekend, but I got his house key, promised to feed his dog, and figured I could watch the 3pm screening (believe it or not, the City/Blackburn game was shown FIVE times over two days on Fox Soccer Channel) and pretend it was real live City game! Hooray! So, no internet, no phone calls from England, no radio, definitely no TalkingBalls, just get on with my morning and go off to his house to watch the "live" game about ten hours after the event.

During the morning (evening in UK) my brother rang from Leicester but I didn't pick up the phone, knowing he wouldn't be able to keep it a secret. But he left a message. Mrs. Desert Fox was under strict instructions not to tell me anything, but just as I was leaving she said "I have to tell you this, because it's nothing to do with the football but it's important. Apparently Rob said that "we was robbed" - I hope everything is OK...."

Bless 'er. She doesn't know much about football.

I knew exactly what was going to happen. Never has a dodgy late penalty been so obvious in coming! Next time, I'll hide out in the desert for a day first...

I feel for you DF
What spoilt it for me was when all the coaches (24) arrived back at Walkers the nobbers only opened one gate to allow the traffic to leave the car park.
The last thing supporters needed was to sit in the car park fo 1/2 hour when the pub was beckoning. A little forward planning wouldn't have gon amiss.
