evening all have been away for a while, just got back to hear interesting news about MM, I dont understand peoples concerns about how he loaned portsmouth the money, who in their right mind would just pump money into a concept with out gaining something in return, I also dont think the head of sheds at city would allow the club to transcend into the shit!
If the man wants to invest then I am all for it.:icon_roll

He is extremely foreign, apparently, and therefore should not be trusted under any circumstances
He would definitely raise ticket prices to £75 per game, and I know for a fact he would remove the Balti pies from the concourse menu
He would certainly sell our training ground to Asda and have the first team training up and down Charles street
He would introduce a one year shirt deal with a shoddy manufacturer, and try and flog us terrible shirts every season designed by a nine year old child (oh - wait a minute, that's not him is it...?)
He would strip us of all our assets (?) and leave the club with a suitcase full of cash in his big car - leaving LCFC playing in some duffers league on Viccy park on a Sunday morning
He is also 68 years old and smells of wee (probably)

We must avoid him at all costs and are much better off without his evil practices and dirty ill-gotten money

It's kinda hard to interpret what you've written but if you're asking about the problems with loans: it's simply that it enables an 'investor' to minimise the downside. Any 'investment' can be protected (by being secured against any assets) so that the 'investor' can walk away with minimal losses while the vehicle (LCFC potentially in this case) carries the can of the 'investor's' gamble.

I agree too, I've always been opposed to him. People at college never undrstand why I am against Mandaric, but I always tell them it's because of the kind of club he'd turn us into, as homer has just explained.

A successful one, hell we don't want that we won't have anything to moan about. Get the pitchforks we'll ride him outta town........

Yes but I've always thought that having a Sugar Daddy is a bit like cheating.

If having money is cheating then surely at the moment, being about the only club in the division who cant afford a single penny on transfer fees, we're being cheated. Teams like Spurs and Newcastle are inherantly rich for no apparent reason, I think we're due our turn.

being about the only club in the division who cant afford a single penny on transfer fees

Most of the clubs who spent more on players than us in the summer only did so because they sold players first - and usually they spent a lot less than they raised. We didn't sell any players.
The fact that we didn't sell players despite having offers suggests our financial position isn't as bad as some people seem to think.

And I'm sure if RK wanted to spend some of his budget on transfer fees he could have done - but that would have meant fewer players coming in.

Playing the way we are..... Viccy park will be a godsend

I bet the "illiad" was harder to transcribe

Piece of slash. It was the Odyssey that did me in - 'Going Back to My Roots' really made me 'Use it Up and Wear It Out'.........

Also the players we brought in were encouraged to run their contracts down, so they would have got a signing on fee in lieu of us paying a transfer fee, so in effect we did pay for transfers over the summer.

Good points, well made. I spose in that context our financial situation says more about the widening gap between the top two divisions than anything else.
