He always said he wanted to complete by December 15th, which is this Friday. The club went all out about a week ago about buying tickets early for Barnsley game, and they've layed on this 'local' promotion etc, so I think it's all set up to be completed by the end of this week.

Do you not think it would be the other way round though BG? I mean he is obviously going through them with a fine-tooth comb and as it is taking so long, maybe he has found a few discrepencies within the accounts and is going over them again to make sure he hasn't missed anything.
IMO it would be looking good if he had placed the bid, and until then and with everyday going by without the actual bid I would say that it looks worse!!

EDIT : just remember about that December 15th deadline. Maybe it is not so bad then!!

The Mercury IMO have acted awful in all of this. One week they are saying he has offered £6M and another week its £25M. They really take us for mugs dont they.

The truth is MM will not have made a bid, how the feck can he when he had not looked at the accounts. He would have approached the club with a view to buying, then when that process is agreed, he takes a shufti at the books and bases a bid on what he sees.
So Leicester Mercury and RL for that matter feck right off and learn about the process of buying a business

There was a big article in the News Of The World 2 weeks ago. I think there is some truth in the story, but not as much as they said. I think just like most of their stories, they beefed it up to something that wasn't actually that bad.
