Akinbiyi eyes end to goal drought

Stoke striker Ade Akinbiyi is bidding to end his goal drought when he returns from a one-game suspension against Watford on Saturday.
The 30-year-old last scored in September in the 2-2 draw with Burnley but is confident that will change.

He told Stoke's official website: "I always seem to manage to score at Vicarage Road and remember the two I scored last season.

"Hopefully I can get my goalscoring back on track there."

Akinbiyi admitted it was frustrating to watch the 1-0 defeat to Sunderland from the stands.

"But I'm focused on hopefully returning for the Watford game," he said.

Had to laugh to myself after reading this.

You have to admire him though, keeping a career going with such limited ability.

Its good to see Akin-bad-biyi living up to his price tag. And to think we could have had Gudjohnson :o

Amazing, not only could we have had Gudjohnson. But we had stan, who if managed properly would have done us proud.
